Yes. New York legalized adult-use (recreational) cannabis under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act in 2021, and licensed dispensaries sell to any adult 21 or older who can prove their age with a valid ID. Cannabis is legal for adults in New York, but it remains illegal under federal law, and airports, security checkpoints, and aircraft are all federal jurisdiction. That's true even if your home state is also legal. So buy cannabis for your time on the ground in New York, not to carry back through JFK or LaGuardia or onto a flight.
